Takumi was born to a mother and father on a tiny island just west of makato-jima. Growing up in Tokuno was Normal for him i suppose his mother would travel by boat to the city of zento daily where she vollunteered at the local healers shop. Takumi's father was retired soilder who spent his days teaching the children of the islands the ways of combat. takumi had one younger brother. they spent every waking moment together until the age of 15 when he went missing mysteriously and was thought to be killed.
by the time takumi was a grown man he had made a name for himself as a formible samurai. he was married with two children. he lived a happy life until one day he recieved a letter that haunted him. he had a choice to make one side of the path that lay before him was his family and this life that he had grown to love and on the other hand was his brother someone who was believed to be dead. curiosity overwelmed takumi as he left vowing he would return someday.
years past and takumi was no where close to finding the one who claimed to be his brother. one evening while sitting in front of the fire a messenger approached with a letter. takumi noticed the familiar seal and motioned for the messenger to leave him alone. upon opening the letter takumi fell to his knees, it was news that his wife and daughter commited seppuku and his son was missing and thought to be dead as well. the bloodlust for the search of his brother clouded his mind and actions. the next morning takumi layed down his bokuto and wandered deep into the jungles.
Time for takumi went by slower then most he looked at things a bit differently now his wife and daughter were gone his son could very well be dead. only the hunt for his brother kept him going. one evening he caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a village to the distance, he lowered himself closer to the ground and slowly moved towards the village. upon arrival he saw no apparent danger from them and introduced himself.
spending sometime in the village takumi began to live somewhat of normal life. on his third year with the village takumi recieved another letter this time it was news his brother. the letter claimed his brother was found and would be reunited with him shortly. takumi felt a happiness he had not felt in a long time. sure enough like the letter had promised the following week takumi and his brother was reunited.
the brothers spent their days exchanging their experiances and battle stories. they trained and honed their combat skills like the days of their child hood. as the days went on bunta [takumi's brother] noticed a distance in takumi and questioned him about it. takumi told him of his past that he left behind and often thought of. after weeks of trying to covince him bunta finally convince takumi to return home to zento and to move on with his life.
It had been many years since takumi last seen the main lands. the jungle he had been training in was but a distant memory now. gazing off in the vastness of the waters he caught glimpses of his past. Looking down at the crumpled piece of paper that lay in his hand he knew that life was best kept in his past. time passed quickly as the ship made its way to the outer rim of tokuno. behind him he heard a voice "we are pulling into dock sir" the ship captain told him. takumi nodded and made ready to step foot onto the main land.
as he made his way off the ship he payed the sailor his fee and motioned for him to leave. taking a deep breath takumi spoke softly to himself "Im Home".

now finding a new home with the lotus takumi lay his past behind him and looks forward to the future and whatever it shall bring him.
